Prayers needed !!

We have a possibly serious medical condition with our precious little Kiara, who just recently turned 1 month old. We thought that she had a possible heart murmur and was taken to the doctors for an EKG yesterday. The results were negative about a murmur, but they have detected an unknown mass or tumor in her little lungs and will most likely be requiring surgery ! She has further testing and all scheduled for Thursday and we hope to know more then....

Please say a prayer for my precious little granddaughter Kiara !

I know how scary that can be. Almost lost my son when
he was 3 years old, and I am sure pray bought him through.
The doctors could not understand, except one doctor did start
to say God.., then quickly left the hospital room.

Just a quick update, Kiara is in the hospital now...They took her in late last night and I haven't heard anything back from Casey and Penny yet. They have admitted her for further testing, not only on her lungs, but possible seizures.

I'm at the house waiting for any news...I came down with a bad cold late yesterday afternoon, but feel like a new person when I woke up this AM.
Zicam is fantastic !!! I strongly recommend this product for anyone that gets a cold or flu this winter season, it's all I've taken for about 3 years now and it works great !

Again, I thank you all for the prayers and will keep you and your's in mine...

I have 2 granddaughters the oldest is 4 and has had an extensive medical history so far with asthma and seizures. My youngest is 1 1/2 months. I know how precious and delicate a child is. My prayers are with you, Kiara and your entire family.

Not good news from the hospital.....

They will be keeping Kiara for multiple tests and have called in all types of specialists. They have still not determined what is the cause of her seizures and fear that there may have been some brain damage caused from them...Her airways are partially blocked, and the also have a neo-natal onocologist looking into the mass in her lungs....We are trying to stay focused and positive but seeing her helpless little body lying in that hospital bed with all these tubes and wiring makes it really a tough site to see !!

I understand what are you are feeling. We spent the summer with our newborn twins "all plugged in" for 7 weeks in the Intensive Care Units at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. Your grandchild is in the best place she can be right now. And the team of doctors will do EVERYTHING they can to help her out.

I know it's tough, but we know you will be the "Rock" we know you are!

Hi Everyone !

Thanks so much for the care and concern shown by such a great group of people here that I am so proud to be a part of ! This forum has really opened me up to meet such a fantastic group of new friends and I cannot tell you how much your support means to me right now....

They have scheduled Kiara for surgery on Thursday . The doctors have told us to spend as much time with her as possible, that if she survives the surgery, she will have an extremely long battle ahead of her !
They are pretty sure it is cancer, and will know after surgery if it has attached itself already to her spinal column. The tumor is very large for her tiny size and even though the surgery is pretty much routine for the doctor's here, they aren't giving her a very good prognosis.

I don't believe their negative outlook, I refuse to accept their opinion and I truly believe that things will all work out in time ! She's a fighter, and I have total faith that she will be ok !! Keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming guys, it will make the difference !!
