Question abour Solo Ads Empty
PostSubject: Question abour Solo Ads   Question abour Solo Ads Icon_minitimeSun Sep 23, 2007 4:02 pm

Hello !

I am going to send out some Solo Ads this week ( my first time ) and was just wondering if some days were better than others to do this. I have earned free ads from one source and I am buying 3 from another. ( 3 for $5.97 sent to contact emails of 3000+ safelist members )

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated !sunny

Thanks !

Hey Diana,

I did the 3 for $5.95 and I do not know if they worked at all. So, I cannot tell you if they are good or not. I did notice that my click count did not go up at all. The other that I know is good is the free solo ad campaign that you have. They are very responsive. My click count went up 1000 with them. Not bad since I sent it to 2000 people.

I hope this helps, i got this out from an ebook. And it's related to CTR (Click-Through Rate - This is the number of people who click on an ad divided by the number of displays of the ad, represented in percentages. e.g. 50 people click on an ad that has been shown 1000 times, which works out at: 50/1000 X 100% = 5%) but i think it can be applied to solo ads also.
Here's the statistics
Day CTR
Sunday 5.76%
Monday 4.50%
Tuesday 4.70%
Wednesday 4.29%
Thursday 4.00%
Friday 3.92%
Saturday 4.54%

Explanation for the numbers quote from the book :

"Although there’s not much that can be done to alter your CTR by weekday, I thought I’d throw this table in just because it’s interesting. Sunday seems to be the best performing day, with Friday on the bottom. Why? And why is Tuesday better than Saturday?I have a theory–and that’s all it is, a theory, so take it with a grain of salt. Friday is low because more people are preparing for their weekend trips and activities, and so they have less time to surf the web. Saturday is low because those same people aren’t home! Sunday is high because they’re back from their activities and want to hang out at home. And what are we doing more and more for recreation at home? Web surfing!"

Thanks for the great advice !!

I've just sent out some ads, so we will see how it goes !! I held off on the paid ones for now and just went with the ones that I've earned.

I've still got all of the safelist mailings to go before FOOTBALL time so back to promoting !! cheers
