| Good to hear that. Tanks for the info.
I don't know if you heard this, but i think is a fresh scam. Besides the usual spam that appears in skype if you leave skypeme status there's new thing out there. A friend of mine warned me about it and the next day pow it appeared. So it qualifies in the good old "419 scams" translation you think you are going to get it but meanwhile your getting suckered.
The scam works like this. Somebody asks you to let join as your skype contact. And you start chatting and he/she start sending you pictures, more explicit and so on until your receiving nude ones. Here comes the scam part he/she wants to visit you and meet up bla bla bla you know where i'm getting at. But you have to pay his travel but they won't come. Usually guys with no life do this and they are sending out pictures of beautiful women posing as them.
SO BE AWARE! | |

| Just wanted to let everyone know that SKYPE on three occasions placed a virus in my IE7.
It was caught 3 times, as well. No more Skype for me.
I removed and reinstalled 3 times but it did no good. Barry

| Hi Barry
Sorry to hear you are having problems with skype i have used it for over 3 years and never had a any problems.
Do you happen to accept files from anyone on skype or download anything that anyone sends you. I am not saying that is the problem but it could be.

| Trojan horse dupes Skype users, steals usernames and passwords Yesterday Websense Security Labs reported on our blog that there was a potential Worm propagating via Skype (see: http://www.websense.com/securitylabs/blog/blog.php?BlogID=101). After investigation we have discovered that this is not a self propagating worm and is actually a Trojan Horse. After discussions with the very helpful Skype security team, the behavior of this Trojan using the Skype API is as per the specifications of the API. The end-user who is running Skype does get notified that a program is attempting to access it and must acknowledge it. *there is no vulnerability in Skype at this time that has been uncovered* For more details on the Skype API see https://developer.skype.com/Docs/ApiDoc/Overview_of_the_Skype_APIAt the time of this alert the websites that were used to download the Skype API code and the site that is used to download new copies of the Trojan were both down. | |
