Try is a four letter word Empty
PostSubject: Try is a four letter word   Try is a four letter word Icon_minitimeWed Oct 17, 2007 7:03 pm

What in blazes does he mean?

There is a T. and R. and a Y ....let's count...1,2,3 letters! Hey dude
that's three letters not four. Your not only 55 years old and balding
but you are so blind!

Ok. ok, ok.... enough of the insults!

The word "try" seems innocent enough. It's not full of glitter....an
unassuming little word.

It gives us satisfaction when we say to others and ourselves
"I tried, "at least I tried". I personally have felt some sense of satisfaction
when I gave something a "Try" even though I accomplished nothing!

How many times have you given a business opportunity a "Try" and
after a month or two you quit...."I gave it try".

Recently in forum belonging to a decent business. I read a post by a
member that was ready to quit after one month of "Given it a Try".

But, I'm sure he is satisfied because at least he gave it "try". The worst
part is, now he thinks he is an expert when it comes to this business
and will tell his friends it doesn't work.

I don't want to be to hard on the guy.....I have to be honest, in the past,
before I knew better, I used "I gave it try" several times and quit before
allowing the business to mature and create a profit

Many great opportunities are victims of the word "Try"

Going in to anything with the mentality of "Try" immediately sets you
or me up for failure. Once we "Try" we have accomplished what we
said we would....that is we gave it a "try". It's a done deal and we are
satisfied.

How many times has a friend or someone said to you. I'll "try" to be
there....I'm sure you know what this means "don't expect me because
I won't be there"!

So is the word Try a four letter word after all? What do think?

Can the high rate of people failing online be associated
with the innocent, unassuming little word "Try"?

Of course I'm not suggesting that all the failures are the result
of the escape clause the word Try gives us. There are times
when the wise thing to do is to exit a business ASAP before
you loose your shirt.

The next time you go in to something a business or whatever...replace
the word "try" with...I will do it...I'm going to do it....you chances of success
will increase by 200%.
