PostSubject: Building leads for yourself!   Wed Mar 12, 2008 10:30 pm

I recieved this in my email it seemed like a terrific idea, so I wanted to share it with all of you!
A method of building up a lead bank and getting your name out on the internet!

Heres how its done:

Step 1: Get ready and open up a word processor on your computer - I actually use wordpad from microsoft. You need to consider what you want your report will be about. Internet Marketing, Working at home, Team building, New Concepts for online marketers etc.. Once you have the concept, you need to pick a Name for your report. Examples would be: Team Building The Easy Way, Building your business one day at a time, Team Work Works, etc...

Step 2: Next, grab some graphics (this is not mandatory, but will help) and put one at the top of your word processor. The Graphic should be something that pertains to your reports name. Then Make a BIG HEADER under that graphic, BOLD, COLOR IT, Make it very catchy. Also on each parapraph, you should center a heading, that is bold and colorfull and stands out.

Step 3: Start Typing away, and start off with a bang if you can, to catch someones attention. You don't have to write a novel here, just something to make the viewer want to finish your report. Ie: Imagine Earning 100's of dollars everyday by helping others! etc... You get the idea!

Step 4: Go to www.about.com and search for articles pertaining to your report. When you find a few of them, copy and paste them into your word processor, ensure you use the persons name , email, phone, website (if they have all those) in the report. YOU WANT TO GIVE THEM CREDIT. 99 out of 100 times, they will be fine with this. If you feel this is pushing the legal limit, send them an email, requesting to use their article in your report. Tell them you will give them all the credit, and its free advertising for them. You should have no problems!

Step 5. As you are authoring your report, ensure you gently put in your Affiliate Links in the report, I suggest in the upper middle and bottom. IE: .... and we have found that team work is a great tool for like minded individuals. Our site: xxxxxx is a great start to anybody who wants to work as a team..

Step 6. Add the articles from about.com into the report in sensable areas. Once done with your report , you should have about 8 to 10 pages.

Step 7. Very Important: At the end of your report, make it look professional by using your name as the author, with your affiliate link(s) underneath your name. Then add a small autobiography at the very end.

Step 8. Here comes the fun part. Save your report to your computer. Go to http://www.primopdf.com/ and download the free PDF Creator. You are now going to turn your Word doc into an ADOBE FILE, turning a dull, wordpad report into a sparkling ADOBE PDF report.

Step 9. After download, you will notice the software loads to your PRINTER SECTION of your computer. Once you have checked grammer and spelling on your report, click PRINT in WORDPAD. Then choose the PDF CREATOR. A small ad will appear (its free software) and then PRIMO PDF will create a NICE ADOBE PDF File for you. This will also add more pages to the report, as ADOBE FONTS are bigger.

Step 10. Save_as the report to your computer. I usually save it to my desktop. Then Click on the PDF File, and presto, you have a nice Adobe Pdf FREE REPORT that you created right on your computer. Complete with graphics (if you did that) links, and all the nice features Adobe does for you.

Step 11. Double check the report in Adobe again and again, ensure it looks nice, ensure the spelling is right, the grammer makes sense. Show it to your spouse, brother, sister, co worker, friend, have them review it for you. If you make any changes, save it and just go back to PRINT and choose PDF again, and resave it over your previous file.

Step 12. Once your HAPPY with your report, start to advertise a "FREE REPORT" to the masses online. You can do this numerous ways. In an email you can advertise a free report and they can respond back to you for the report. Or on a website you can upload the free PDF Report to your server, and people can just click the link you created on your website, and they can download it without any interaction by you.

Step 13. Once people respond for your FREE REPORT, always keep there email address for your list. You can now email them every few weeks or so, to try and make a relationship with them. ALWAYS PLACE OPT OUT INFO after your name to stay SPAM Complient, and if they opt out of future emails from you, ensure you delete them. Thats it! This should help you advertise your links, in a non-threatening manner, and help you build a list as well.

I truly hope this helps you expand your horizons in online marketing.

Hi,
I hope this is the right place for this question.
I've been running an Adwords campaign for a month and am now looking at refining it to make it more efficient with the data I have collected.
My question is what is best practice for bidding on phrase and exact match.
Lets say my keyword is "sausages". The majority of my sales from looking in GA from from the keywords "sausage" and "sausages", none from phrase matches such as "where can I buy sausages" etc.
In my adwords I had [sausages], [sausage],"sausage" and "sausages".
My average CPC is higher for the exact match.
I'm not sure what do to based on the above - drop the exact or drop the phrase match?
For instance since CPC is higher for exact I could drop that and still pick it up via phrase match which has the lower CPC? Or when I'm competing with a phrase match against someone with an exact match will I drop down?
Any guidance appreciated!
Thanks
