Welcome to the Networking addition of the Team Builder Forum!

We all started working online because we are social and like
helping others to fulfill each others dreams. Networking sites
such as these (listed above) are ones to be used as resources.
They are forms to advertise what business' you are involved in
but more so ways to meet people, help them, and become friends.

When I started out I was not taught the right way of networking with
people at all. I sent out mass emails to people with not a single
response. Or, with sending those mass emails I was thought of two
ways:

A) Newbie!!! Stamped right on my forehead. Therefore an easy target.

B) Experienced and not really caring of anybody but my business'.

Seriously, does any of us really want to be thought of in either light?
I thought not. You would not invite somebody to your home and
start talking about business right off the bat. You want to get to know
them. Have a pretty good dinner talking about life and sharing interests.
Maybe, have a beer on a hot summers day while enjoying the music
blaring on the back deck. Talking about "old times" with your new
found friend.

I never liked going to the bosses home for dinner where all we did was
talk about business and the latest recourse. Most times I never stayed
with the job if all they did was talk about the business. Never really
relating with me as a person but relating to me as a number in their business.

If my boss related to me. I believe I would follow just about any path they
went down. If they were sharing a beer with me. On that back deck while
sharing where they were at the time that song blaring. And allowing me to
relate in turn. I think I would be more apt to the stock suggestion that was
mentioned. Wouldn't you? And how many times were you in the situation
I discribed?

Simple rules of networking with people on network sites:

1) No mass emailing about the business you are in.

2) Genuinely care for the person and business they are advertising themselves.

3) Offer to help in any way possible to help them in their networking
experience themselves.

Happy Networking! And any other helpful suggestions will be welcomed
greatly. These are only my experiences in life and online.

Always,

Dawn Very Happy

PostSubject: Right on, Dawn   Sun Sep 02, 2007 7:20 pm

I made the same mistake you did when I first started networking - and a quick surf of the sites shows most of us do. That's why I think as our industry grows it's important for those of us who have been in and learned and overcome these things try to assist those who are struggling.

I had one lady that I had recommended networking to and she emailed me back after three months and said this doesn't work, no one has joined me. I started working with her then and realizing that so many people really don't "get it" and we have to be patient. They go in and advertise, advertise, advertise. They try the same on forums and don't understand why they get asked to leave.

So I really applaud your thread here and hope it can not only help those who need to learn WHY they network, but also those of us who do it and don't really think about it, but need to remember we are all teachers.

Thanks Dawn!

Hi Christian

You are right this is a wonderful thread. Some of the sites Dawn mentioned I belong to. I don't know if you belong to Apsense. But it is a very new social marketing site that has grown to over 11,000 + members. On this site you can put your own Business Center in there promoting your business.

If you don't know how I can help you with that. It is free to join with an option to upgrade. They also have their own TE where you can put your blog in or squidoo lens and get more traffic to your site. People view your site and rate it. After 10 views if your site ranks high. The founder will advertise your site where even more people can view it.

So if you need any help at all let me know.

Richard

PostSubject: Yuwie Question   Sun Sep 09, 2007 11:15 pm

Hey, guys. I am new to this forum and internet advertising and stuff like this. I looked at all the sites you talked about for networking. I just signed up for yuwie, but I am not sure what I should do next. Yuwie looks the simplest to me so I will ask about that one first. I have activated my account, what is the next step? I noticed it has a earnings section on here. How do you make money will Yuwie? It would be most helpful if someone could break this whole thing down in plain English. I really want to be successful and do it right. I am really eagar to learn as well, but I really need the help.

Thanks,
Joey

Hi Joey,

Well, first of all welcome to Yewie and you could not have picked a better networking site to start with. Yewie has all the same features as every other social networking site out there. It has customized profiles, photo downloads, blogs, and groups for you to utilize. You look at other peoples profiles. Invite them as friends or even participate in their group or blog. Every feature you use will generate you money. Each person who veiws any one of these mentioned will generate cash for you. Now, you can also refer three people and you will also make money off their page veiws and on down the line.

On the bottom of where you will have your picture. There should be an area with many boxes. The first box is account settings. That is where you control your user name, passwords, notifications, privacy, tax info, and payment settings. On the right yu should see a red link saying control panal and that is where you download everything. Blogs, Pictures, Groups, etc.

If you need me I would be more than happy to help you personally through chat programs. I will PM you with my personal details.
If you do not have Skype download here http://www.skype.com/download
Make sure that when you open it up you have to add me to the list before you see me in Skype.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Here is another networking site that is probably going to be very useful for all of the members who joined F5M. With this site you can take all of your downline into any program that you desire to take them.

It is called Reality-Networkers it is not MLM - it is a club that will show you how to create a downline that you can take with you to the programs that are making you money.

Check it out:
