| Once an old couple who were on a vacation happened to visit an old fort. The guide was explaining all that he could.
When they reached a well inside the fort. He said pointing out to the well, "This is the famous 'Wish Well' where you wish anything and drop a penny, your wish will be fulfilled."
The couple wanted to try it out and so the old lady closed her eyes said something and dropped a penny. Then she asked her husband to try out. The husband closed his eyes and murmured something and he bent forward to drop the penny. Unfortunately he slipped and fell inside the well and died.
The guide saw all this and exclaimed, "Oh my God, what happened!"
The lady returned with a grin "It works...but I did not expect my wish would be fulfilled so soon!" |
