| Hey Hey Hey! Animal lovers come one come all! I love it! Thanks Scott. I have two little ones that jsut love to take corners in the house and come out fighting.
In one corner... Bailey the Great. A golden retreiver. Weighing in at 61.5 pounds. 13 years old (91 human years) and just as playful as the day she was born. Strawberry blonde with joint problems. But, that does not keep her down! She likes playing catch with her tennis ball. but, very picky about which one (it just has to be a PENN version 3). Interests are home, sleeping, and the lake. Wants is always... FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And In the Other corner... Tink the Bell. A stray cat found at the local business. Weighing in at a whole 2.9 pounds! 14 weeks old (2 human years) and mean very mean! A black cat with a silver back no problems but meaness to speak of. Loves COMBAT!!!!!!!! Interest are COMBAT, mouses, and for some reason feathers and catnip. Wants is always to ATTACK!!!!
Yep, happy home to say the least.
Always,
Dawn |

| A pets corner how cool
Ok i have 2 dogs both cavalier king charles spaniels. Jubilee is a tri-colour and is 5 years 4 months old,she was born on the queens jubilee day ,now you can see why she is called jubilee lol. she is very shy of other dogs and strangers never understood why as no one has ever hurt her. she is now deaf and the vet can`t understand why and she is blind in one eye due to a low tear duck problem she had when she was born.
Winston is a blenhiem and is 1 year and 3 months old he is totally diffrent to jubilee in that he is very friendly with everyone he comes into contact with and is always bouncing around. He follows me every where i go and my husband calls him my shadow he is a sleep at my feet right now lol.
I have 3 cats also ,simba is a old guy now at 12 years old and is a grey colour. Then i have jodie who is 18 months old and is all black and just real funny because she chases winston and then he chases her. I then have jodies sister Paris who is tabby color face and tail and her body is all white, she does not like the dogs and if they come to close she gives them a slap and she walks around as if to say oh look at me i am pretty. _________________ Sammy http://www.teamtogrow.com |

| Pet lovers! Great, now we will have to go find one of the pet supply companies to add to the team build LOL!!!
I am nuts. Our family has three dogs, a yellow lab, Toby, who is seven, a black lab, Sasha, who is eight and a border collie Husky mixed breed, Bear, who is two. Toby was run over when 10 months old and now has only three legs, but gets around great. Sasha is the only lady in the house and keeps me company since I am surrounded by males - husband and two sons. Bear is only two years old and stole my heart. He was born on the 4th of July and loves fireworks, which is very unusual for a dog. I vowed not to have a third dog, but my oldest, Chris, brought Bear home as a puppy and tried to convince us to keep him. We tried to give him away to two separate sets of friends and he would not go, literally! He adopted us at the ripe old age of seven weeks. |

| I love a pet section. As you can tell by my username I love cats. I have 2 all black ones, bonnie who is 12 and casper ( and yes he is black) who is 3 and a terror, and a black and white stray that adopted me 3 years ago about a month after I got casper. I love dogs also but I lost my cocker spaniel last December after 16 years.
Along with my cats I have a dove that found my pond about 8 years ago and would not leave so we took him in. And in my pond I have a variety of goldfish and a Koi.
Then I have the swans that come for food everyday, so I always make sure I have some bread handy for them.

Yes this is very unusual for a dog. Mine used to hide under the bed when fireworks went off along when it thundered. |

| We currently have 3 dogs, and 1 cat at our home.
Our cat, Princess, has been a member of out family the longest. She's owned us for about 8 years now. She's extremely possessive and will not allow me to bring another indoor animal into our home. I've tried to adopt other kittens and one puppy but she literally tortures them until we finally give up and find them another home ! She's a beautiful gray and orange calico.
The next in line of seniority is our indoor dog, Runt. ( She already had been given that name before we adopted her, and answered to it ! I don't particularly like it though !) A friend of ours gave her to us when she was just a little over a year old and we've had her almost 5 years now. She's a little mixed breed that is almost solid black. She's got a little white patch on her chest and is starting to get a little grey on her chin. She still plays like a puppy though ! Anytime we take our ATV out for a ride, she thinks that she has to be on it, she loves riding ! Her and our cat get along really well, they both sleep with us most of the time.
Our only pure breed is Bandit, an Australian Shepard. We have absolutely no idea how old he actually is because he was full grown when we found him. He is totally deaf and had been abandoned. We found him near our barn in the middle of the road and brought him home. He is extremely bright and gentle, I just can't see how someone just threw him out... I hate to see abandoned animals ! He didn't bark at all until our other outside dog taught him. Now it's hard to get him to stop, he can't hear you scolding him !!
Our final member is Joey, a gigantic mixed breed that is only about 3 years old now. He is part Bull Mastiff and part Boxer. He had also been abandoned. We found him and his mother, Hope, out at our property. Hope had been shot and Joey was just a puppy then. Hope got doctored up and his aunt kept her, while we brought Joey home with us to live. He weighs in at a whopping 90 pounds now, but is a gentle giant ! Needless to say, no one dares to enter our back yard !!
Just wanted to tell you about my family !

| Thanks for sharing your family with us Diane.
I had a cat named bandit, who was my only pure breed also a tonkinese who was found in the trash. He is my favorite cat I ever had, he was like a puppy and followed you everywhere. He needed to be with you at all times.
I am glad to see that other people take in abandoned animals, since all mine where homeless. Bonnie (along with her brother Clyde who died) were found in my shed when they were kittens and Casper I got from a friend who rescues cats. His mother was pregnant and was hit by a car but she survived and so did her babies.

| I don't think that I have paid for an animal in my adult life ! Every one that I have owned we've either rescued or adopted... My favorite dog had to have been "Boomer" who had been abandoned at a campground. He was a full-blooded Shih-tzu that this couple just decided they just didn't want anymore. The poor fellow had not been taken care of well for quite some time, he had flea colonies growing all over his body and was matted down to his skin. We had stopped in the Ranger station at the campground due to a storm and we were not even camping at the time. We had been out on the lake with some friends and her husband was over the parks and recreation department so we decided to ride the storm out in the safety on the station. When I walked in , I spotted this poor baby laying shivering from fear from the storm. I picked him up and never let him go again !!! He passed on about 4 years ago when I was at work.. I was devastated and shortly there after we adopted our new baby girl Runt... I just kills me to see animals suffering... Diana |

| I understand completely what you guys are saying. We did pay for Bailey but it was more of a donational fee. We got her from adopt a golden society. Her family gave her up after 10 years of living with them. We never knew anything about why until the women (her owner) got in touch with adopt a golden society 3 months later asking for her back.
Apparently, the owner (women) had gone to take care of her mother or something and when she got back home. She found out that her husband had given Bailey away! How awful for her. He had nevered liked Bailey and ditched her the first real chance he could get. that would spell D I V O R C E for me! But, the guy was okay because he still ahd his mut to play with. How rude! I felt so bad for her when i found out the story.
Then, we got Tink a few short months ago and she is a stray. When we got her she was so under nurished it would have made your heart break. She was so small that she fit in half of my palm! That is only 2 inches long. And the vet said she was at least 4 or 5 weeks old. But, she was abandoned by her mommy along with her whole litter. Whcihc was dispersed amoung friends. The others died but her. She is a strong little girl!

| Hey Dawn !
I've got that story beat !! My first husband actually gave away my dog to the pound and she was put to sleep...I was at work at the time that he gave Brandy away, and the reason he got rid of her was because she was pregnant ! He lied and told me that she ran away and I only found out the truth after it was too late to save her ! I was crushed !!! I had moved that dog from Florida to Louisiana, and even sat outside with her during a hurricane that came through because she wouldn't come into our home... Not too smart on my part, but oh well !! After going through all of that with her to have my ex have her put down just because we couldn't afford to have her fixed at the time... Needless to say, we didn't stay together long after that !! ( Should have had him "fixed " )

| How horrible to give away someone's pet. I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your dog Diana.
Thanks for posting the puppy site. But I better not look as it makes me want to go get another. I miss having a dog but 3 cats and the dove give me enough work are enough right now. At one point I had 4 cats, 2 dogs, the dove and a pond full of fish now that was work. Theresa |
